Avoiding a bad flu or cold

Catch it early!!

At the first sign of feeling unwell, scratchy throat, cough, temperature, Take Action.  Don't wait to see how it progresses.

Away from home..... Buy throat lossengers.  Better still carry some with you.  I like to suck them when in crowded places, shopping etc., to help avoid picking up bugs.

At home start with kitchen cupboard.

1.  Cider vinegar

1- teaspoon in a glass of water.....gargle and spit out....then gargle and swallow every half hour.

2.   Sage,

Great for throat, if you have it make a tea and add cider vinegar to it, do as above.  A teaspoon of honey makes it easy to drink.

3.    Thyme

Great for cough. Make a tea with a half teaspoon of dried thyme or a teaspoon of fresh. Add a teaspoon of honey, Manuka if you have it, plus 4-5 cloves. Sip.

If infection is severe add a quarter teaspoon of cayenne pepper to above teas.

Continue taking above for 2-3 days to prevent bugs multiplying and making you really sick.
